Sarah & Simon, Pimhill Barn

We’ve known Simon and Sarah for quite a few years now and where thrilled to shoot their wedding at Pimhill Barn near Shrewsbury. So, where to start describing this epic wedding…?

The day started off with breakfast with the boys at the Lion and Pheasant – a beautiful little hotel in Shrewsbury centre where close family and friends where staying.

Simon had prepared a detailed list of duties for his ‘superhero’ ushers, including making sure that they made conversation with anyone who was alone on the day and managing the many playlists for the day to ensure the party kept going until the early hours of the morning. It was lovely to see Jen and Steve again and their beautiful baby girl Isla who was getting very involved with the bridal prep, and to catch up with old friends from their wedding in Italy!

The couple had created a beautiful backdrop for the wedding, completely designing and decorating the barn themselves and had crafted so many lovely items for the tables, cake and signs to add rustic touches here and there.

The day was literally an emotional roller-coaster filled with tears and love but mostly laughter. I think if I had to choose one favourite moment, it would have to be Sarah’s reaction when her dad during the speeches decided to return her teeth to her after many years of safe-keeping!

Other moments include Sydney the ring-bearer (their Westie), the never-ending best-man’s speech, space-hopper races, the Pitcher and Piano crew taking over the bar, air guitars, and some really touching moments during the Simon’s speech that had everyone struggling to hold back the tears.

What an amazing party to start your lives together as a married couple - congratulations again guys, we love you!
