Lauren & James, Burley Manor New Forest
When Lauren & James got in touch last year to talk about me shooting their wedding in Italy, of course I was thrilled and so excited about the possible photo opportunities, I jumped straight into researching the area and working out angles, sunset locations, nearby lakes etc etc… but then of course nothing really turned out how we planned during 2020 and early 2121.
After meeting the couple again early in 2121, it was clear that they’d had to make some tough decisions to ensure their wedding could still go ahead and Italy was off the cards.
However, their second choice of venue (Burley Manor in the New Forest), for me, was equally exciting and presented many more fantastic opportunities with deer and wild horses roaming around the grounds and local areas, I was ready to bring the carrots and start researching again!
I think this wedding goes to show you don’t need to have a large number of people to share it with for it to be special. With just 22 guests, if anything it felt even more special with their very closest friends and family attending. The whole day felt very relaxed and the staff at Burley Manor did an excellent job of looking after everyone and making the wedding feel very homely! Special thanks to special thanks to Sophie and Chloe for looking after us too!
I loved getting to know the couple and family - it was so sweet to see them all go through every possible emotion - there was plenty of laughing and crying and then even more laughing (I think James actually had something in his eye more than once)! It was awesome to see everyone just let loose on the dance floor too and really let the their hair down! You guys have some awesome party people amongst your family and friends!!
